There hasn't been a lot said here about Hill, but a few posters with some good feedback, have provided some good info.
Still, they reportedly have approx. 350 operators and we've only heard comments from a very small percentage. Can anyone else share any other newer information they have about Hill Brothers?

face to face...Sorry I didn't think to exchange phone numbers or even email addresses. I can not sent a pm here. If you care to please contact me. Because of your amount of sent posts, you may send pm's that i could receive.
Take care! ####! I didn't even pay attention to your truck number! -
Could I provide a suggestion, Ms. Linda?
If you request a PM, maybe you should try actually reading your PM's? -
Just found this forum. I have been with Hill Bros now for 19 years. I don't plan on leaving. Have things always been perfect? nope. Are there things that I would like to see changed? Of course. But overall this company is the best fit for me. I have been looking around to see what others offer and I haven't been able to find others as good for me.
I've been a company driver, local driver, omaha to kansas city and back, and a L/P driver now for more then a few years. In the past years as a L/P driver I have always tradedthe truck off when I built up enough equity in the truck to trade it in and break even. Now with the truck prices depressed I have been in my Volvo for 3.5 years. Repairs have been a downer this year but still love the truck.
I make money with Hill, get home, and run in areas I like so all is good. -
can you tell me more about the lease specific
volvo payments
do they require down payments
how many mile
do they run i-24
how are the truck
how long are layovers
do the hire in tennessee do they deliver to walmart or pickup from tyson
how fast are trucks
are they 13 speeds -
They mostly run a triangle from Chicago / Denver / Phoenix - outside of this, yes, but rare.
I-24 is rare, because of above
You have to be doing something wrong, or your choice, if you run less than 2500/week - mostly, will be over 3,000
I'd ask about Tennesee, and yes they "deliver to Walmart" and "PU from Tyson" and they also PU from Walmart and Deliver to Tyson
Truck speed depends on Truck and relationship. L/O's & OO's are not "neutered", and 70 or 67 is dependent on the truck - mfg. and/or year
I believe all are 13 speeds - could be wrong, but I don't know of any that aren't
Hope that helps, Mike, but I think you really need to visit their Website - www.hillbros.com - and/or call their Recruiting Dept. They'll tell you the latest info. with no Bull - at least, I hope, very little Bull. Take care! -
thx for the info

You do run I-24 occasionally... we deliver freight in the Atlanta area then pick up loads heading to MO / NE / KY / IL.
There are a few autoshifts in the fleet, but almost every truck is a 13 speed.
If by layovers you mean home time, it is the standard one day off per week out. How often you can go home varies depending on where you live, from 10 days to 4 weeks (ask recruiting about your particular circumstance). I live in Missouri and typically run 11 out and 3 in, or 18 and 3.
Good luck,
Jim -
My truck payment for a Volvo with a d-16motor and a 13 speed and tripac is $465 a week. with all the insurance etc. it brings it up to $600. Then they will also deduct for highway use etc. They wont take those all at once but spilts it up at $55 a week til paid.
down payment I'm not sure about.
how many miles you run depends on you. they seem to have plenty of freight. some lanes are better then others. best advice here is to find a lane you like and then run the hell out of it.
we don't layover much. but its generally a day at most.
i think all of the volvos are 13 speeds. the t-600 im not sure. the new lease trucks are going to be prostars.the spec sheet i saw says they have 10speeds but i have heard some will have 13's.
speed for leased trucks is up to you. we run electronic logs now so sometimes to make appts or get to where you need to be before your hours run out you may need to run faster then what you want.the faster you go the more fuel you burn the less money you may make. -
how is a weekly basis
on truck payments, fuel, matinence and apu is this very expensive how much money can i make do the have a riders program
