I would highly suggest waiting a bit before you transfer the CDL back. When I went thru the student program, it took Missouri over 2 months to report my DL and CDL permit surrendered to them. I had already transferred the MO CDL back to VA by the time MO informed VA of the surrender to them. When this happened, VA canceled the VA CDL I had just got, leaving me without a valid license.

In over three years payroll and I have had to talk about only a few issues, mostly revolving around reimbursements. Any discrepancies were immediately solved, and if I was due anything, I got it in the next settlement. If you have problems Mr. treydavid, I submit its because you don't have a clue about how you were supposed to be paid - did you forget the part about "available for dispatch?" If the wheels aren't turning you don't get paid.

thanks IP wil do next time I am up that way.

Thanks, that sounds like a bad swap. I wonder who was at fault, VA or MO? I sure wouldn't want that to happen. Is there a good reason for making the switch happen asap or can we just wait about a month before the switch? That sure sounds like something LA would do.
I'm almost ready to take the tests.

Another question for you guys. It looks like my best choice is to drive to Spingfield. I'm only 600 miles away and it will be cheaper than flying. Will there be a safe place to park my jeep while I'm out with my instructor?
-
Yes. Assuming the car next to yours doesnt catch fire.

They have a long term parking area. My car has been there for two years and no problems.
However recently a car caught fire and managed to spread to the car next to it. As I understand it, security was quick to act and get the fire dept in there to put it out.
Safe as any long term parking lot. Its fenced and you have to swipe your Company ID to get in and out of the place.
Key thing is to make sure you register with Prime Security and place the sticker where they tell you. Occasionaly they do sweeps and threaten to tow cars without the stickers. I cant say that they actually tow, but I have seen the warning stickers that they place on the car with a due date to be towed if the situation isnt rectified.
Oh, and park in a slot, dont get creative to save yourself a few steps. They threaten to tow those cars that clog the fire lane, and park between imaginary lines.ka5pfb Thanks this. -
I am flying to Springfield. It is like 1076 miles to Springfield from my home. I do not want to be the Greyghost for 24 hours, so therefore, I found a good plane ticket for around $200. Of course Prime told me they'll reimburse me at like .10 a mile for my plane ticket. That is $107.60 back in my pocket. Not too shabby. I mean not great but sure beats sitting on a bus for 24 hours.

That sounds like a good price. I may be able to do better but the price of my ticket so far is 600.00.
Lastnight I made a deal with my wife to delay my school until next month. A good friend brought info on a good IT job opening. So I agreed to wait to see if I can get this job. It's not a good thing to put the off the school any longer but I need her onboard with me on this trucking career. My app will expire if I wait until next month.
So, we'll see how things go. -
I am 1400 miles. 1 day and 16 hrs on a bus
