What the hell? Is there an after Market device where I can switch to regular wipers? Can you find the wipers anywhere other than KW?

I always bought my wipers off the shelf at any NAPA store...
-
ok, cool thanks. I guess Napa carries everything! I just read they carry filters for trucks too!!!
-
Are you talking the blades, or the whole wiper arms, motor, you know the whole kit-n-kaboodle?
-
The blades. Most every other truck I've driven uses regular car wipers this W9's are weird...
-
My W9 had standard blades...just short in comparison to Centuries, or Volvo's and the like with the single windshield. You might be looking at just the rubber blade itself. Get the correct size with the blade "frame" in the package. It will contain the "attachment" required to affix it to the arm.

This time of year I'd be buying winter blades... they work so much better than the regular style.
-
On my 06 W9 I put a 2" shorter blade on the passenger side. That keeps the blade from going off the glass. I have the 1 piece windshield with the opposing wipers. What a stupid design!
Dont forget when buying blades make sure you get the high bridge kind or else the wiper wont follow the glass and clean the edges. -
Thanks guys!!!

By standard I think he means clip on like every car made. Not the goofy little bolt on blades that you can only get at the dealer. I've thought about getting some wiper arms from a junkyard and just tig welding them to the KW arms. Even the dealer will tell you that semis are usually 10yrs behind the cars with things like power windows/locks, keyless entry, climate control ect. Guess the wiper arms are the same, engineers overlook the obvious.
