If your MVR and employment history are good, the biggest hoop will be your time away from driving. It wouldn't hurt to take a 'refresher'.

That ticket will be a big negative flag.

Most companies will require drivers with no recent experience to do some time with a mentor driver before allowing the new hire to go solo. However, many companies will only hire drivers who have been out of the truck for less than 1 year, unless there is some recent training. Been there, done that.

As has been stated frequently, the criteria trucking companies use for hiring are varied, so the only way you will know what's what is to start contacting recruiters and get the scoop from the companies you are interested in hiring on with.

Yes, a refresher with a school which can provide certification of your time with them.
