Sign of basic stupidity, no matter WHAT the times are. Jails are full of STUPID PEOPLE. You know, those folks who "would never be caught. . ."
Just some of the stupid things I see

I wouldn't say jails are full of stupid people.. It's a risk some people are willing to take.. Bernie Madoff is a crook but he fooled alot of smart people for years.. I would say he's an assshoole but he's not stupid..
-
He was stupid to think he would never get caught, unless he decided the risk vs reward was a price he was willing to pay.
I for one don't find money to be that big of a motivator to do something illegal. Being locked up in a cage for any amount of time is a waste of the most precious thing in the world. The number of hours that you have on this planet is a finite amount of time, why would anybody throw that away for money?
I would rather be poor and free than rich and in a cage.outerspacehillbilly, Brickman, Big Don and 4 others Thank this. -
And then there are some people would rather have "three hots and a cot" behind bars. That way they don't have to think for themselves.
Anyhow, enough of hijacking DB's thread.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Well for me to be locked up in jail would be a terrible thing for everybody, but you can bet yerass if I ever wind up in there it won't be because of something stupid that I could've knowingly prevented..
What if you're locked up on death row half your life when you are actually innocent, like those inmates Texas made millionaires awhile back.. -
With brake check in full swing I thought most would have their stuff together.............................well most did, a few had their pants around their ankles. Had a guy the other day that besides having 6 of 10 brakes out of adjustment, two bad tires, a bad air line and the low air device being inoperative also had a false log book and revoked CDL.
Matter of fact I had a lot of false log books this week. Lot of out of service vehicles for brake adjustments and other brake related issues. Hope you all made out better than the select few I saw. -
Asked me for my license, said I might have one of them.
Asked for my medical card, said I had seen it once, but I had the long form in the registration book.
Said he wanted that.
Asked for logbook, said I had one of them and gave it to him.
Said I could wait at the truck, but I opted for the porta john after asking if okay.
All said and done, Level 1, passed. Gave me paperwork and no sticker.
Got the sticker anyway. -
I actually ran out of stickers, so I did have quite a few do well. I had one in particular that I remember, a 2004 Pete and a 2002 Utility trailer. Never seen a truck so clean under, inside and out. Cleanest, neatest truck I have ever seen. Guy had about 900K on it and amazing how clean it was.

I found joking with him made for a better interruption of the day for both.
