I currently work for Swift. Just finished orientation last week as an experienced driver. I had a couple of issues dealing with being off work for 13 months (from Werner) to recover from two back surgeries. I had also been self employed, after retiring from public health, as a bbq restaurant owner. Swift looked at both pretty hard, and I had to provide IRS 1040's for my self-employment as well as two different statements from my orthopedic surgeon stating that I was able to work to Swift's job description without restrictions. No biggie for me, I was able to easily provide documentation and references....including statements from the CPA who I used during the time I owned my restaurant. It also helped that I had attended a 'refresher' when I was finally released to return to work.

During my orientation, two guys were sent home based on their motor vehicle abstract showing several moving violations over the past 3-5 years. With the new regulations coming into full force, EVERYTHING now seems to matter when it comes to motor-vehicle history and hireabiliity. And yes, that now includes Swift. :biggrin_2558: I'm not trying to dash yer hopes, I'm just being upfront with my recent observations.

That is now self evident now that you mention it thanks.
Is there not middle ground at all between an employee and independent?
As you may have guessed I am both stubborn and desperate to work.

This was a test on punctuation, right? Plus bonus points for capitalization? :)
