Suggestion Box

I tried removing the recent visitor box several months ago, and within 30 minutes of it being gone, a thread was started in here with people asking where it had gone to. I guess you either love it or you hate it, but I'm going to leave it as is.

It's a good idea from a usability standpoint, but it's a nightmare from a technical perspective. Currently, the database shows Thank You's grouped by post, so regardless of how many times a post has been thanked 1 time or 100, it's no additional burden on the server to track the thank you's attached to a post. The additional requests on the database to track and return individual "Thank You's" would be a performance burden, and I don't think the 'Cool!' benefits outweigh the technical costs.

The description for the Truck Information Center states that members can "Post your questions, comments and suggestions here," so this entire subforum is already a suggestion box. It's better if people start new threads for the specific suggestions or changes they would like to see, rather than grouping them all together in one disorganized suggestion thread.
