I know FFE is a reefer outfit and advertised a lot in the Salt Lake Tribune back in the day. I never worked them for these two reasons.
I'd stay away from them for sure. -
Don't ever pull in behind them at the fuel island. Every FFE truck I pulled in behind blocked the fuel island far longer than I wanted to wait to fuel and pull thru and leave.
littleman4751 Thanks this. -
HEY EVERYONE, LOOKING TO GET SOME FEEDBACK ON FFE. I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TRUCKING FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS NOW, AND ALL THE OTHER COMPANY'S I HAVE TRYED TO GO WITH WANT ME TO GO THROUGH A FULL 150 HR SCHOOL BEFORE THEY WILL TAKE ME . I STILL HAVE MY CDL AND CANT SEE GOING THROUGH ALL THAT CRAP AGAIN. I FOUND THAT FFE WILL LET ME TAKE A REFRESHER COURSE (40 HR). SO ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

That's the standard now! No driving experience for the past 2-3 years and you need retraining! Some in the last 2-3 years you still need training. It's an insurance thing!

As far as reefer companies....I haven't heard much good things to say about FFE. Check the forum I'm sure there is a thread somewhere.

i know what yout asaying there driver, been trying to find a company that will jus accept a refresher course, and they are far and few. Never heard anything bad about ffe when i was driving , so i figured i'd give them a shot. Gotta start back some where, and i truely am not willing to go throught 150 hr course again. Dont have the time or money for that , right ! Have a safe day there driver.

FFE is basicly a student / newbie company.. They go through drivers real fast.. They try real hard to get you to lease purchase a truck w/ them promising u the world... Typical BS.. They are a pretty typical reefer company.. They also run other divisions under the same company umbrella, like Lisa, MTC, Eagle are all the same thing...FFE under a different name.. (Eagle is their van division)
FFE likes to haul meat and candy for the most part.. M&M Mars is big... Waco, TX; Chicago, Atlanta, to name the big candy centers. I worked for them for 6 months as a O/O (with my own truck NOT one of theirs.. I couldn't make any decent $$ with then so I split!)
I guess you could do worse than FFE.. They seemed alright but had room for improvement. The equipment was okay.. never had a problem with getting somthing done, The Qcomm was a pain.. When they talked to you they wanted you to answer NOW... BUT, as them somthing... they MIGHT get back to you same day.... Maybe the next.. (I found a way to get a fast reply though..haha! I just wrote a free text message about 2 pages long and they sure answered me back then!!).. , they get charged $$ for every character you type.. Soooo I'd type a 200 word essay sometimes.. LOLthecoxster and fancypants Thank this. -
FFE WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR PAY, THEY ALSO HAVE AMERICAN EAGLE WHICH IS DRY VAN , THIS COMPANY HAS A VERY HIGH TURN OVER DO NOT GO THERE I HAVE BEEN THERE AND LEARNED MY MISTAKE..
