I just go the speed limit in Ca which is 55 and I maintain the proper speed that Swift desires. *shrugs* Works for me and guess what.......I've never gotten in trouble.

Hey! Look at that....We have a lot in common, I go 55 in California too!
It is after all the posted maximum speed limit...Could that be the reason that I don't get tickets?Texas-Nana and Injun Thank this. -
That was my point. sheesh -
My truck is capped at 80 with no electronic tattle tale. I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was 17.

My truck is capped at....Who knows? I've never hit the top.
I had it up to well above 90 once (empty) just to see how fast it would go but I decided that that was fast enough and I didn't really need to know exactly how fast it would go!
There are a couple of spots in Utah where you can run 80 and I have run through there at about 82 loaded before.
No tickets in many years! -
Ran my caddy up to 135 just to see how fast it would go. Didn't find out that time, got too shaky due to the suspension being shot. It's getting out of the shop in a couple days and I'll be seeing what it can do sometime after that. I ain't doin that in someone else's truck with someone else's freight on it, though. Not cause some schmuck in an office decided to cripple my truck. Cause I decided not to. -
I have a Ram Daytona Edition that I have no idea how fast it will really go. Gave the keys to an Oregon State Patrolman friend of mine once. He took it for a spin, came back and told me he's glad I'm one of the "good guys" and it would outrun any of the cruisers from his office. He never did tell me what he wound it up to. I've had it as high as 95mph and then backed out of it because I had won the race and I didn't want a ticket. It is kind of difficult to tell a cop that wasn't me when I'm the only person in four counties with a pickup like that and all the deputies, half of the staters and most of the city kitties know me. We'd seen a lot of each other on traffic crashes and drug standby details.

One of the counties up north that know me very well since I ran for a tow company up there (they even gave us police radios for our trucks so we could talk) actually runs those pickups for patrol cars. Very nice little trucks.
Injun Thanks this. -
I'd be interested to see which numbers they have. Mine's #4245. Each Daytona Edition is specially serial numbered and there were only 3700 made. How they arranged the numbers is beyond me. I think they started the Daytonas where the Rumble Bees left off. They were also individually numbered with a plate in the dash 0001-3700.
