Cross-Bronx Expressway this morning.
Forget what the recruiter tells you, this is what trucking really looks like.
I think it took me 15 minutes to make it to the next light pole you see in the picture.

You got that right, how about that four wheeler to the left all up on the icc bar of the big rig. It is no wonder we cannot see them in the rear view
until they go to pass. -
Yep..nothing like a dose of "rush hour" to remind you why you don't go to the northeast.
-
Then back up to North Jersey at midnight to load what was left of a bank valt that was being removed.
-
GREAT PIC's JOE!
WOW! That traffic can be nasty looking, when you are sitting right there.
-
Ahhh, yes, the cross-bronx. Haven't been on it in over a year, not looking forward to ever having to drive it again.
-
Sorry bud, I like my view much better. This is why I truck
-
Does the law give you any trouble for driving around empty with those "oversize load" signs on there? They frown on that here.

I can't stand Bronx....the buildings there get me feeling depressed, to much concrete and bricks, thats when I got real homesick is when I got those loads going to the Hunts Point meat market, but New York and California rid my fear of big cities, so I have that to be thankful for. I remind everyone, Alaska 's population is around 650,000 people statewide, I use to fear Anchorage which is home of around 250,000 people. Growing up in Alaska can deprive you of whats really out there which is good in most cases but not so good in other ways.

Wow. How often do you get home? Do you drive home or do you park somewhere and go by plane?
