Are you allowed to carry a gun with you while your driving?

there have been numerous threads on this subject and I think you should do a search for them as I have seen both yes and no answers if I am not mistaking it depends on if you travel across state lines or some such matter

You must adhere to the laws of the state you are in.

You can do online searches for concealed carry laws. Most states will accept permits from other states. I believe it takes 7 or 8 permits to carry in all 50. I can tell you that carrying one in mass without a permit specific for their state will get you like 5 or 10 years. Even if you can carry in all other 49. So definitely do your homework if you intend to. This applies for 4 wheelers too! Best of luck to ya

Interesting,I was told in school that it's illegal to carry a gun in a commercial vehicle period.
I may want to research this further,I'll be running 11 Western states and would like to be able to carry.
I have a permit for WA only at this point in time but would explore getting permitted elsewhere if it is indeed not illegal to have a weapon in a truck.

There are a lot of grey areas when crossing state lines. I carried one and had a concealed permit. I never got caught or searched while I had it though. The laws are different in different states. You need to be careful if your company goes into Canada too. It's funny how you have the right to bear arms but need special permitting. I think you should need to have special permitting to bear children! If you do end up shooting someone throw them in the reefer until you reach a legal state!:smt070:smt068:smt066:smt072

I don't know the particulars of carrying in the US, but Canada is an absolute no without exceptions. It's a felony to try, too. (or whatever they call serious offenses there)

fwiw, I've watched them search a truck. If you are sidelined for an inspection, they almost certainly will find anything as large as a firearm (and a lot of things much smaller). Those border people go to school for this stuff.

you need a lcf from your home state but many states will not honor it ...... i live in pa with a lcf ... but i also have both florida and virginia non resident permits that allows concealed carry in 32 states.....example i can not carry in ohio with just the pa permit but with the va permit i can.......... go to the site and go to the map click on your state and you will see the states that will and will not allow you to carry
