Is Crowder a good school?

I am currently going there and it is fantastic. You are in the truck the first day. They teach you not only classroom stuff but driving skills. The instructors are very patient. They also just hooked up 2 driving simulators. Don't know when those will be integrated into the curriculum. And if you are going to Conway and you go to Crowder for school you will not have to go back to Crowder for Conways boot camp. They teach you how to shift, gear recovery, straight backingk, 90 degree backing, parallel parking, and lane changing, plus the numerous road trips that you take. I would recommend it to anyone. As far as how much clothing to take. Not sure but they do have a laundry facility at the dorms. I think it is 50 cents for wash and 50 for dryer.

 

My partner attended Crowder and thought it was a great school. When she left Crowder she was much better prepared than most new drivers. Of course that was eight years ago so I'm sure things have changed some since then, but we would still recommend them.

We also drove team for a year with Conway Truckload back before they bought CFI. They were a good company to work for back in the day but I don't know how they changed when they merged with CFI. Hope they do right by you.
