I read in an RV mag. some time ago that you should plumb in what they all a 'ping tank' due to the stress that the airride on the truck can put on the pinbox. All it is, if I recall, is an extra air tank plumbed a certain way to soften the bags on the big truck. I'm sure you can google the article, it was one of the bigger RV mags, about 2 or 3 yrs. ago.

Check out the escapees forums for the HDT users. Also look up Jack and Daniel Mayer. Really good info.

I have a 36 foot toy hauler,it has been pulled with a 1989 Pete, then a western star and now a kenworth w900.make sure you have the fifth wheel all the way back,I wired in the electronic brake controller, and put a trail air 2 air bag system on the kingpin box of the trailer.it gives the trailer a good ride where its not so harsh behind a empty truck.we go all over the place with this setup and have been doing it this way since 2003.
