I have been to that cave and many others I had to wait for a train under ground to proceed to my door.

My story is more atypical than weird. Several years ago, I loaded a disassembled log cabin in PA and delivered it to a guy outside of San Francisco. He met me at the blacktop turnoff and took the lead flagging oncoming cars to pull off the road as it wasn't much wider than the truck. Then he had me park in the entrance of his dirt-lane driveway and said to get in his car and he'd drive me up to the cabin site so I can determine whether or not I could get the truck up there. About ten seconds later at the first curve of the driveway, I told him there was no way to get the truck around this curve. He said that's fine and went a hooked onto his gooseneck flatbed and we unloaded my truck right in the driveway entrance and reloaded it onto his little flatbed trailer and he took it all up to the site. I spent the night right there in the driveway entrance and was treated to some BBQ and an adult refreshment up at the cabin site. Those kind of loads are few and far between, and they're a nice change of pace when you get them.

Back when I first started driving truck I had to go into the caves. It was pretty much like any place else, you have to be aware of your surroundings, and just take it easy.Just keep in mind that many other truckers have been there and survived,so by God you can do it too.

I ran for Celadon some years back, and I had a delivery at this joint. E Conway & Light, Baltimore. Right on the inner harbor. 53' trailer, right up under the front entrance you see behind the guy on the bike, then had to back into an oddly positioned dock. Managed not to scrape/touch anything. Funny part was when a local cop came and snapped a photo of my truck; claimed the dock was for vans and straight trucks and that he had never seen a big truck even attempt what I was doing. When I finished, the officer kindly stopped traffic so I could get out.

I gave my DM an earful over that one.

I had a ld . from NJ to Ark. It was a personal storage facility. Never had a semi in there before. Some lady had bought a truck full of stuff off the internet and rented a spot in the storage place. The lady had just had a baby 4 days prior and had 2 small children with her. The trailer was full all the way to the back with huge open boxes where everything was thrown in together. She said they had told her the truck drivers were going to unload it. I told her nope I don't know anything about it. She called her boyfriend and box by box everything hand unloaded.I had to help him otherwise he would still be there unloading it. She had bought out a baby store . and there were strollers on top of clothes and everything was a mess.Anyway that was one of the most unusual .

You ever get in that position again, you can get on Uhaul.com and you can find local independant moving labor. They are everywhere. I used them when I moved back to TN. Cost me $140 to unload a 28' truck packed tight. Four guys did it in an hour.

Slush Puppie in Covington KY. It's a little warehouse behind a few residential houses. The turn in is off a 2-lane country road. The guys unloading hoist a pallet jack into the trailer with their forklift. One guy wheels it to the end of the trailer and the guy on the forklift offloads it.

I was standing in the other garage to get out of the rain when I see these two noses suddenly appear. I guess this Slush Puppie locations have two mascots: a male and female golden retriever. :)

I had to back up onto this lovely manicured lawn on their property in order to get out.
