I heard a rumor that SYGMA got hammered recently by a DOT unannounced drop in inspection of all their terminals. I also heard that they were caught with their pants down and the fines are astronomical. Supposedly company officers will be doing jail time.
Now this all came from a couple of truck drivers, and I know rumors always seem to grow when they are being spread around.
Anybody else hear anything resembling this story ?

Hoping it's just a rumor but SYGMA was a complete zoo when it first started up in Charlotte, NC in 1998. Police arresting 'drivers' on company property for outstanding warrants; unfit 'drivers' brought over from the failed co. whose business was switched to SYGMA...an endless list.
Astronomical turnover - I stayed 8 weeks. Good 'educational' experience but don't care to repeat it. Was just another 'adult daycare center' (diversity rated!) at the time. Had heard they cleaned up their act so I'm waiting to hear more about this.
