Good idea on the empty\loaded.. I was a company driver and I kept about 14 spreadsheets on all my trips... recorded everything,,,, I totally forgot about that... And yes when I send in features like this I get a ####pit of a 747 back from the engineer.

I also am in charge of the Beta testers.... so E-Mail me..

    thanks,
    Mark

If you have a T5B, Rand moved the RM folder from the internal drive to the external drive. But, as in anything things get overlooked. In the RM folder is a file under User that records state miles... Dock version 82 does not point to the external drive to backup\restore or export your state miles.

So,,,, if you have a T5B you will get a big error when you try to export your state miles..

AND A BIG thanks to one of our posters here that worked with me to find this...:biggrin_25514:

    Sorry,,,

    Thanks,
    Mark

I know how much everyone loves this popping up. In the Navteq data their simply is no name for that road. So the code has to say something.

Another major map update to include new core mapping will be out, hopefully this should lesson the "connecting" road,

    Cost will be competively priced.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Folks and Folkettes,

When you send in a Tell Rand, verify and double verify your E-mail address when you type it in. I am looking at some and I have gotten two send back for bad E-Mails. It is a little difficult to address your issue. Then you wonder why you never got a response.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The time zone from EST to CST maybe backwards...

Sharp curves - Rand is looking at, may not be fully working.

    OOPS...:biggrin_2557:

    Thanks,

    Folks,,,

Please do not try to update the TND while you are driving. Your aircard or phone will lose towers and reacquire, but by then the TND would have noticed you lost the internet and will have stopped downloading. You will have to start again.:biggrin_25511:

Also, if you are in a roaming area, the local TELCO's will allow you bandwidth but not as much as local customers.

I would watch how much you download also in a roaming area. You phone company may have policies in place to limit your bandwidth if you exceed roaming versus in-network.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Folks -

The majority of the issues report so far may be due to loosing connection to the internet, drivers pulling the plug on the download when it is not done, poor internet signals.

If you would, try to re-Dock and do the updates again, click yes to verify, and then click yes to maps. The verify will do a file check and it will only download the files that are not correct.

If you for any reason do not finish the map download, and you do not do the restore, you will be on different maps - old\new. Your TND may give you errors on boot up or it may not route correctly. You will need to update ASAP, do the verifcation, and then the map download.

Some of the issues have been during the download the connection is lost for whatever reason and now you are missing the license file. This can be checked by:

your TND - x\Navi\user\navigation.lic x = drive letter when the TND is connected.

If you do not see the navigation.lic, contact me please.

This morning due to heavy traffic on the net the servers were unavailable for a little while. This has been corrected.

Please try to update/yes to verify/yes to maps first before you call to customer support. Then this will be out of the way.:biggrin_25514:

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,
So I bought the 700 a couple of weeks ago so far so good except one thing so far I will try explain the best I can. I am a straight truck driver that runs all New England, New York south to Baltimore. The only problem I have found so far is when I am on what is called the Berlin Turnpike in Connecticut also know as route 5 and 15. The Berlin Turnpike runs from the Meriden and Berlin town line to the Wethersfield and Hartford town line. South of East Main Street Meriden 5 and 15 split trucks can go route 5 which runs through Meriden, Wallingford and so on all the way to New Haven. Route 15 however south of East Main St Meriden known as Wilbur Cross Highway no trucks allowed. When traveling 91 north and you take exit 18 roue 15 north which you can do with a truck nothing happens. After driving about 2 miles when 15 north merges with route 5 north I start getting warning on bottom of unit saying the road I am on is truck restricted. Which is not true, I can drive this road all the way north on those two roads for as long as they go because they do split again in East Hartford. It also keeps telling me to turn trying to get off that road. Also when coming down route 91 south if you get off exit 28 which is for route 5 and 15 south (Berlin Turnpike) the connecting ramp is about 3 miles long once you go by the first exit for route 99 south I start getting the warning for restricted road going that way which is wrong you drive that road south until you get to the split for route 5 to Meriden and 15 south to 91 south and East Main st Meriden. At that point the ramp continues and you have to get on 91 south to left because to right route 15 continues and there no trucks allowed. If have any questions on this you can email me. If some of it does not make sense let me know because sometimes when I am typing I get ahead of myself and forget to type some words and I am not greatest typist or speller. Also if you need a beta tester that drives a straight truck in the northeast area let me know.

One question. in truck info\truck tools you have it set for straight truck?

I will keep you in mind and I forwarded the other book to the dept that can verify the road restrictions.

    Thanks,
    mark
