I tried to transfer first thinking I could just get away from the Memphis Terminal Curse ... But policy prohibits it due to the live within 100 miles or whatever it is to a terminal

That's the other reason MEMPHIS need I say more

    Lol

Not fully made up my mind yet ... Still doing some thinking .. I have a few offers but going to make a very sound judgement first not a hasty move

I don't jump ship very often so I'm weighing my options that WAL-MART resume goes a long ways so I been able to open a few doors

    ALTOM
    DANA
MURPHY OIL ( yep the walmart gas station not owned by walmart)

    Got a few other irons

    Such as

    Quality
    Liquid Transport

    One hopper company

I got 4 offers thus far will decide for sure on Monday afternoon and accept one ( waiting until Monday afternoon In case there is another offer which comes in ) :biggrin_255:

I was under the impression there were city ordinances prohibiting even bobtail. We had a guy at our terminal that got a ticket for going to walmart while staying at the company hotel.

    Share your eating places please.

U can personal convey . Superior gives u a sheet of paper stating the fact that you can convey unlaiden for up to 30 minutes I believe

As long as u are ( unlaiden ) no trailer
U can log it off duty

Only ticket I can think of is if you park in a prohibited place for trucks

I know that. This was a ticket from the city. Morrow Ga is real bad for that as well. Lots of great restaurants near by but if you park a bobtail in the parking lot its a $300 fine. Some terminals have a shop pickup truck drivers can use if you ask. I did that in Marion last week.

Hmm, never had a problem at memphis terminal. Quick reload with good miles.

Markham vs. Harvey, IL: Markham has all the truck regs and ticket writers. It is pretty much the west side of 294. Harvey is ok, it is the east side of 294 - aldi's, ##### chinese joint, etc. U can walk thru the Vitran yard to adriana's reataurant/bar. Not sure I would go to the joint at nite.

Some terminals are set up stupid. - walking out of Cincinnati and Baltimore yards after hours, can't or I don't know how to open the gate from the inside - gotta wait for a truck to leave. The metal pipe at Memphis is mighty labor intensive.

for hamburgers and chili dogs go to johnnies wee-nee wagon(thats how they spell it) turn right out the gate, stop sign left, red lt at hwy 6 trn lft, cross over 294 and 57, next red lt left, on the left, looks like one of the old drivein's,i don't remember the afternoon but a bunch of old dudes and ladies showed up in old cars, everybody raised there hoods and sat around talking and looking. and plenty of truck parking beside there place. and for a good breakfast try kingsberry waffle house go the same way as the drive in but instead of turning left at the light after 57, keep going straight to (i think it's oak forest) cross over ciecero, you will see other waffle houses along the way but there not truck friendly, keep going straight there up ahead on right, plenty of truck parking. ones good for breakfast and the other covers lunch and dinner, i noticed at johnnies i like to sit and watch the people come and go, rather than sit at the terminal and stare out the windshield. but both those places are good to eat at.:biggrin_25525:
