Diesel Bear I have a question for you.

My driver just called me and explained to me that a tractor trailer jacknifed in front of him.

According to the driver the other trucks front right steer got onto a soft shoulder. My driver slammed on his brakes and stopped without hitting the other truck with lot's of room. However he did lock up trailer tires.

I just installed new trailer tires last week. I asked him to get information from the officer and accident number.

According to my driver to receive accident information regarding flat spotting tires he would have to be charged for following to close. How can they do that?

I explained to my driver to get into the truck and get going I will figure out how to get the information.

Wouldn't that be considered the "Hard Braking gig" for CSA 2010 now?

Covert is good. And you have to change that avatar. Hard to be serious laughing. TDF.

Makes me think of the only ticket I ever got. The local fell asleep sitting on the hood of his car waiting for me to round up the paper work. I told him he was ruining my road rep and to make up for it could he pull his gun or stick or something. At least smack me to get my ###### points back with all those trucks going by watching. Might be why I got the ticket. :biggrin_25523:

From some prior comments I would say that DB is East of the big river and South of the "actual" Mason Dixon line. Which is the border of MD and PA.

I have never encountered this, but I don't see how you get another insurance company to pay you because your driver locked up his brakes. Driver's do this all the time when I stop them. Sounds to me like it is what it is, unfortunate, but such is life.

no patriot...no....you watch your hours and start calculating when you will reach the point of "needed time to reach safe haven, t.s. Etc. " and you pull the pin, take trailer etc.
    Or
you call safety / terminal / taxi for ride to motel or stay on location in sleeper until in compliance

you never violate on the ebr per the carrier and the shipper cannot force you to violate. You would not be caught in the situation you describe because you calculated.
