If you are single the best place to live is in your truck. I spent 8 years without a home, car, or anything else that did not fit in my truck. If I wanted to see a certain area I told my dispatcher where I wanted my next days off to be. Took time off in Las Vegas, Boston, Florida, Seattle, camping in Montana, and many other places.

I miss that lifestyle, it was total freedom. In addition you don't worry about house or car payments. I am very tempted to sell my house and start living that way again.

I had the same mind set when I drove for a year wondering if I would find a cool place to live. But as a driver I just pass through and ended up wondering if I am going to make it home again. The funny thing was driving the U.S. was about the same as driving around town after awhile. This area is expensive, lots of traffic there, good road this way, and so on. Driving across the country you use about the same methods of driving across your city. Some areas the driver has to eat it and sometimes avoid it.

That's kind of where I am now, I do have a car payment :biggrin_25510: but no rent. I think just seeing the US a little bit for a little while would be pretty good.

    Thanks for the responses all.
