is it that hard to pass another fellow trucker up and not ask if they are ok? I know i will be new at this and i will need help one time or another, but if i ask and get crap afterwards why ask in the first place. everyone has been new once before and i hope i don't ever stop helping people just because they're new and need to learn, i was told by a veteran driver, "always ask, they might have an easier way to do it" so i will ask and i will learn, and i hope to see the better side of being a newbie.

here's a good one. I fuel my truck , do a quick vehicle inspection, wash my windows and pull truck up and go in use the restroom and grab a sandwich and drink to go.

on the way back to trk ,bobby big rigger is waiting on me , he didnt get fuel !
IMO if u dont get fuel, wash windows , dont get ur panty's all twisted up waiting
10 to 15 minutes on me!

If there is another driver stranded on the side of the road its common courtesy to atleast try and get them on the CB to make sure they are ok and dont need any help. There are still some people out there that dont have cell phones

Just out of curiosity where is the word newbie or anything in this statement???

While most of your suggestions are common sense it is good to see them..

I don't much worry about the guys who stare at my wife. It makes her feel good. I worry about the idiot that tries to grab her butt.. She a redneck woman and your hand will be broke. :biggrin_2559:

You won't see me ever parking at the pump. That stuff irked me as a 4 wheeler and my idle vehicle wasn't costing me money.

If my 59.7 MPH truck can't pass your 59.6 MPH truck in a reasonable time. well we will just have the start of a convoy for a bit. Your urge to pass someone for the next 40 miles causes all those folks backed up behind you to start doing some crazy stuff and my former Paramedic colleagues like getting paid for NOT working.

I live by one safety rule: Could someone die or get injured if I do or don't do something?

DO NOT FLASH HIGH BEAMS!!!! nothing worse than to be blinded by someone when you look at pass. mirror at night after passing some one. If you grab 3 gears in a T/S you just proved you are an idiot. When parking your truck take pride and keep your truck straight in the middle of space and not hanging over the space behind you.

Thats exactly what I use to do. Get my log in order, wipe my dash down, spray some disenfectant in the sleeper and all over the truck, clean my inside windows, and get my paper work in order for my previous trip or the one I am on. So many things that you can do that a lot of drivers dont think about. Its called time management. Most have heard the saying "killing two birds with one stone" but most dont know what it means or how to utilize there time to the fullest.

As for stopping and helping somebody. There is plenty of things that I know that a lot dont and visa versa and I would love to have a guy stop and help me if I am broke down that knows something I dont that makes a quick easy fix to get me somewhere to get something permanantly fixed.

Not all women who are attached wear rings. I'm not usually the kind of girl to physically hurt someone and I know men are going to look. It's in their DNA. They can't help it. Looking is okay, compliments are accepted, criticisms are analyzed for validity. Propositions and touches, however, will not be tolerated. The last guy to touch me uninvited had to get his arm set by the Osteopath. But that was an extreme case. He was d*** lucky my ol' man wasn't around.

And I do not wear rings.
