Cleaning aluminum rims...?

get some naval jelly for the rust on the stacks we used to use it on our chrome wheels because none of us broke f ers could afford new wheels so we had to buy used and clean them up

 

LAfreighliner hooked me up with some imported aluminum metal finish wheels for under 270, polished the wheels myself and saved over 300 for that bling!I keep my wheels clean with california custom deoxideizer and purple metal polish using the power ball and drill, it works great brought back the shine fast and cheap I paid under thirty bucks for both.

 

this picture reminds me of something....

when i was mechanic for concrete pump company, 12 trucks, i used to come in and wash pumps on Saturday and help drivers polish the aluminum


One driver showed me the "best" and fastest way to do the drives

he raised the truck up with the outriggers, put her in 8th gear set cruise at about 1200 and proceeded to stick his hand in each wheel with a rag and wad of polish

yes it polished them alright....but talk about crazy....kept waiting for him to show me his missing finger/hand when he caught a valve stem, lugnut or hole
