The nice thing about having really tall, but under 13'6" antennas on the mirror arms is that if you think the bridge is going to be close, and of course as a cautious driver you have already slowed to half a crawl, and you hear the antennas twang, you can stop well before the top of the condo bunk/roof fairing, and way before the front edge of the trailer.
And remote controlled mirrors as you inch along are great too.
Take the responsibility, so that there is NOT the situation of who is at fault.

I disagree to a point here... Muncipalities ARE RESPSONSIBLE for things like power line height, tree trimming etc... If a city is too lazy to mark a low bridge, (or change the signs when they pave under the bridge), that government should be held responsible....

From what I read it looks like he did GOAL then drove under it anyway.

I'm surprised nobody caught it but suspicions were high! :biggrin_2559:

three, four, six rivets on the ground with shreds of fiberglass.

What happened to number five?? :)

My name isn't CondoCruiser for nothing. The top of a condo is all solid fiberglass construction with NO RIVETS! It is made in a mold just like a boat is made. You see rivets only on metal side panels.

But if it was true and he suffered ramifications (<< big word) from it. He could sue the train company. All low clearances 13'7" and under must be posted in compliance with MUTCD. (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices)

    Here's your sign! :)
