they will drop the price. that sounds like their retail price. They should drop the cac price down to atleast $550 especially if ur looking at all that stuff

Something I noticed is they all say to replace your CAC after approximately 5 years or 500,000 miles. Then all the rad shops try to upsell you on the ultimate cooler that is good for 10 years. Hmmm.

Thanks for the info on the price, their regular CAC is $100 cheaper, but the factory Pete set up is already what their power max is. At least I think it looks the same.

Took the CAC into Ellenburg Radiator over in Springfield. He submerged it & at 9 psi three big rows of bubbles came up.:biggrin_25510: PowerMax, Radiator & Condensor are on their way from Detroit.

Oh Fleet Air down in AL. quoted $1255 for the Radiator & $600 for a reman CAC with core exchange.

Did you get Detroit to come down on their prices? I got a quote on a 4 row radiator when got my CAC, and it was about $800, if I remember right.

No, the original quote or retail price was for $2350, the updated quote is down to $2100 to the door. Asked if it was picked up if we could work out a better deal & they said no. So am thinking $100 or $200 is in freight?

Never really found anything cheaper elsewhere that was made in the U.S. Trust me, really did not want to have to buy this stuff.

    josh.c Thanks this.

    lbz,
If you didnt get a complete radiator, you will need a good air wrench, there is about a thousand bolts you will need to take off to put the tanks off the old radiator on the new radiator. That is if you do the work yourself, not a hard job, worst thing about it, if you have no overhead, its a two man lift to get the radiator out and then back in.

Duralite is out of Calgary Alberta, and their CAC are warrantied for 7 years and 1,000,000 miles. They are a very good choice, Google the site and talk to them.
In a lot of places there are Radiator shops that make CAC and give good service, the Duralite ones have a better sealing arrangement for the end caps.
The warrenty is covered continent wide, what do you want.

I hear ya. Different trucks, different prices, obviously, and I bet the shipping is pretty close to that $200 mark. I think you'll be pleased, and you gotta spend money to make it, right? The price on that condenser sounds pretty good, I priced one for my truck at International, it was over $400. You gonna replace your transmission cooler while you're at it?
