I've been reading alot of the posts here on the forum and I'm not sure yet if I'm ready to tackle the 'big machines' yet, seems like there's alot involved. But I am interested in driving in general and am interested in something regional, not just local driving. Is there anything I could start off in like this? If not I suppose I could start local and check around.

you live in a big city, which means there should be plenty of opportunity.

You could also look around for construction and excavating companies. Some will hire new CDL school graduates to drive dump trucks.

Sorry, I just noticed you're looking for regional job not local. Regional jobs are harder to get for a rookie and tend to go to drivers that have been with a company longer.

One would think, wouldn't one? But crazy enough, this 'big city' doesn't seem to have as many of the jobs as the surrounding areas believe it or not! Maybe it's because of that black cloud that follows me wherever I go
