What would be benefits to working with brokers as opposed to direct shippers?
And how do you go about finding direct shippers?
Would Owner Operators rather work with a broker or direct shipper?

the $100K question thats been discussed so many times. Most shippers are not going to deal with hunderds of O/O its easier and cheaper for them to deal with one agent but if you can find a small company that will it will benefit you both, no middle man

Most brokers are thieves and parasites!

I know of a few shippers who think diesel is free......

Australia is slowly heading in the same direction, the major players are pushing the little guy out more and more quickly these days. The system appears to be heading in the direction of: Client - Major Transport Contractor - Minor Contractor - Sub Contractor or Company Driver. You guessed it the subcontractor gets penny's for doing the actual transporting of goods?? something not right here??

I'd rather work a broker, rather than him working me.
