The report only reflects what is reported. The driver can dispute the accuracy of the information contained within. I have successfully removed erroneous information from my DAC. I turned down employment from a company during orientation and they reported I was fired for lying in my application. I disputed it and they couldn't prove I worked there.
Most companies consider any preventable incident (generally anything under $500 damage) an accident. Two preventables in short period of time can be fatal to your career.
This is why you should be careful how you treat your soon to be former employer ie; give notice, treat them with respect (even if it hurts), clean your truck out, etc.
The DAC isn't perfect, but it is the only clearinghouse the industry has to help vet future employees. Treat your DAC the same as your credit score.
And remember, DAC is subject to The Fair Credit Reporting Act.
