Iphones and Android phones, now have an application that will pay you 1$ for every 100 miles you drive while obeying cell phone regulations (Hands free, following state laws etc) Its redeemable at places like barns and noble among many other places, I did not do too much digging but I did enough to know it would be worth looking into for some.

Found it on the Android Market. According to the description, the app blocks texts and calls while you drive, tracks your position, warns you of local driving rules while you drive, and gives a notification to your callers that you're driving. The app is called SAFECELLapp and was made by someone called W2W, LLC. The current price goes for $11.99.

So far, the app has a 1 and a half star rating out of five based on 3 "reviews" from customers which just degrade into complaints such as inaccuracies in the tracking and points deducted for receiving text messages. The Barnes and Noble promotion was never mentioned on the developer's page.

The app is probably decent. One can't go off of reviews all of the time. Three reviews isn't even enough! I would try it myself, but 12 bucks is a bit steep for something that I will probably never use.

from what i understand it didnt block them, just let you do it only if it complid with area rules, hands free, no calling while driving etc, depending on states.
I figure truckers log 100's of thousands of miles thats some good change.
