Or.... you can take them apart and brush them with a wire brush, grease everything back up and do it again in 6 months.

A liter of coke? First, since when do the yanks refer to metric measurements of anything.:biggrin_25514: And second what a horrible mess that would make. Sticky. Then all the road dust would stick to everything, you would attract bees and on and on. I have never heard of anything like that before.

We can't find a freaking quart anywhere in America anymore even in liquor stores! Coke comes in cans, 12,16 ounces or liter bottles! And whatever a 11/2 gallon is called now!

After the coke has done it's fizzing and eating all the acid it will stop bubbling. Then you take a water hose and flush the mess down the drain pour a few drops of Dawn dish washing detergent on top of the battery and wash again! All clean and ready for the rest of the cleaning I would do which is to pull the cables off and use my trusty post and clamp brush! Then put post grease on or those pretty felt pads on and put it all together! This is actually a job I would do about October as it's starting to cool down. Once a year at least. This is NOT a job to over look!

Someone get a picture of a coke with the volume showing and post it for our Canadian friend!! We'll maybe join the metric world someday! And yes I have a full set of metric wrenches and sockets for the Honda and most weedeaters and lawnmowers made these days, not to mention what I keep finding on trucks now!
