1only I drove for over a week with an air leak. it was a gamble. I didn't get caught. It is fixed now.

 

I have a question for you:

You say when you get up in the morning the air is showing low...needs to fill the tanks...when you sleep are you a "tosser" with a lot of movement, or do you wake in the same position you fell asleep in? the reason I ask this is that when you "toss" in your sleep, you could be causing the cab unit to move...so the air leveler is keeping the cab level. Same thing when there is wind, the movement (rocking) of the cab will cause the air to be drained from a non-charging air tank. (The no idle policy so you aren't charging the air with the compressor.)

Also, did they check the leveler arm piece? This can get stuck, or even just need adjustment. Sometimes they just forget about the simple fix!

 

Maybe just a loose fitting or a crack in a line somewhere.

 

There is press fit brass fittings on the turbo actuator lines. I had a leak there. They changed the actuator and it still leaked. Petro found the leaking fittings. Same fittings on the air dryer. Junk by design!

Is it by the turbo?

 

The air leak was easy to find. Since it is nice & quiet here at the house, I found it within minutes. I'm not sure how a trained tech with Swift couldn't find it, but then again they work in a noisy enviroment & can't quite quiet everything down to listen for something as simple as an air leak.

It is actually the air bag on the passenger side of the sleeper. It is leaking around the seal on the bottom side. I didn't fix it because I'm not going to put my hard earned money into a company truck that doesn't have my companies name on the door. If it was just a simple air hose or fitting, then that wouldn't be a problem.... But those air bags are expensive!
