Just checking on you, Soon, you started posting the same time I did.
Did you ever get a job? Looking back on this thread, anything you would've done differently?

we instructors give you students GOOD reason(s) to want to choke us.....!!
-
I would have figured that the other way around.....
for instance freewheeling in GA overdrive down mt eagle.....
-
many times i would walk into the classroom, all newbies, with the urge to choke them right outta the box......"just because"........

we don't have very big hills here, but YES, some still find a way to free wheel, through red lights, stop signs........

My instructor joined the forums here for a little bit, then I think he disappeared.
I really miss him sometimes. I tried to call him the other month or so to catch up, and he blew me off. -
Your stats say you've been a truck driver for 2 years. ??? Just curious

Impress your instructor? Best way I know is go really fast around corners and entrance/exit ramps. This shows that you are confident of your skills, and will impress most instructors, and almost all other drivers, also.
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF DRIVING FAST, most instructors are bored to death by students who poke along, show him (or her) that you really have what it takes!
Good luck, and let us know how it works out! -
couldn't of said that any better myself.Your only going to be with an instructor for a few weeks to a month, better to concetrate on impressing you new employer, your wife and your children because you will be with them for years! just a thought.
