Clean all your battery cables, check ignition switch (I replaced mine) and replace the power plug from batteries to ECM .... with that said mine starts to get this problem about 3k into a service ....spin new fuel filters and it goes away for 1-2k then comes back .....either I have air ( no bubbles in return tho) or the old fuel lines are being eatin up inside by ulsd and cloggin filters .... mine has 85k on rebuild and when it runs right it keeps up with those big kitties on the hills ....otherwise its just plain annoying to drive with the vibration and power loss .... and yes it was rebuilt by a detroit dealer ( not FL either) and they have done the dyno, cutouts etc and cant figure it either ... they have replaced all 6 injectors at least twice in 85k.
Trading truck in for a Kitty Acert this weekend
Also if they replaced more than 2 cyl kits on your rebuild then they probably reflashed your ecm for low Nox which initself could be causing problems on an older engine that was never designed for it but the feds make them do it and they dont have to tell you either.

I had a very similiar problem. turned out to be corrosion under the cables from the liquid salt from the north. could not see it at all on the ends, but when you pullued back the black/red rubber coating the wires were green with corrosion. replaced hot/ground main cables & all jumper battery cables. problem never cam back. also had new end put on post cable at bacl of alt, due to it also needing replaced.

Could a lobe on the cam be bad?
-
had a detroit do that once could not find a bad injector bought another injector and started moving them up one hole each until the miss disapeared ended up being a bad injector after all by the time i got to #3 injector i found it. the pop off preasure was of but the silanoid was good.

Glad you got prob fixed. thanks for posting results.

Wasn't Pheebo the original poster? he never did get back on the problem...

You always start out with the cheap things, clean the battery cables and connections, cab grounds and mounts. Then the fuel preasure and a clear hose in the return hose and do a road test, the ECM in a Detroit will bring up any electronic fault, no matter how minor a fault.
With the boost preasure you are getting I would be checking the CAC, do the road test with a lap-top and trigger an event when it misses, look in the return hose for bubbles, and check the fuel preasure.
I am believing he did a valve set injectors heights, and you do not have any Jake head problems coming on by themselves. A damaged solinoid seal can cause that.
Just a thought! -
No I still have the miss. Hasn't gotten ant worse but still there.
-
If you look at the fuel rate in mm on a pro-link it will show you which injector is causing the problem, when one injector gets weak its adjacent cylinder will compensate, thats why its not a full miss, thats the good thing about electronics

Pheebo, I know it's been a long time since you started this post. I'm hoping to get a hold of you and see what he found out about this. You're explaining what's going on with my truck to a t even the wheel bearing sound
