Sometimes depending on how things fall, you do have a chance to get by the house. Most trainers are respectful and actually train. If by chance you do get a trainer who is looking to use you for a log book only, please let ruston or Greg know. One to get you with an actual trainer and Two to get that person out of training.

This is true. On the training fact, yes you want about 17-18000. This is a goodeye opener for what the days are like and mostly for the trainer to sit in jump seat and coach, critique, and evaluate and correct any problems if necessary. It is my thinking that the trainer would want to do only about 1/4 to 1/3 the driving, as he already has the job, and to let the student learn the feel for the truck, road, how everything works and why. Not to mention it is coming up on the most eventful time of the year, which is also the best time to be trained, Yes i am talking about WINTER!!! Those of you whom are going to be training in the winter, please listen even more so as this profession alone has enough challenges to keep you busy, now throw snow, ice freezing rain, black ice, bone chilling temps, chaining and driving, backing on all this into the mix. Now you have a #### regular 3 ring circus going. The hours are just as long, but the daylight is not. now everyone else is in such a #### hurry to get home to warm and cozy homes, and we are still driving and delivering as usual. Wyoming in summer is fun enough with the winds, which can blow in gusts up to 75 mph, now they do the same thing and your on ice. Or you watch them close the roads behind you. be calm and learn while you have someone with you to ask. You can always ask us here also. Don't be scared about driving in winter, BUT, DO, and I say DO RESPECT WINTER, while driving, the harsh reality is it can kill you more so in a big truck. Just be mindful and respect mother nature.mikley28 and leatherman Thank this.

I just left SLC on the 21st. I am sure i seen you and just didn't know it. As it happened I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off with a bunch of papers from Bldg 1 to Bldg 5 and to Bldg 2. I just signed a short term lease of 9 months on a 2009 Black W900, and I got extremely lucky as it had a TriPac on it. I got a short term lease on used truck to get feet wet and should I want to continue to do this, I was planning on buying the truck at end of lease. pay it off run it for a bit and then either put someone in it and get another or trade it in on something else.
