Im perfectly calm. But I am also a real honest to goodness guy who really does not get along with lots of people due to the fact that I really have no filter and I have a very twisted sense of humor. I laugh at things that are 'not funny' by sociaty norms :D

Well I for one still enjoy my career. I'm a tri axle dump truck driver. Yes i love it! Yes it has it's bad times. I have always wanted to drive since I was young. I guess you could say I've got diesel fuel in my blood! I drove otr for a short while also. Mostly 2-300 mile range. Mostly at night. Did not matter how tired I was when I climbed up into the truck I was excited and happy! Why? Cause I love drivin'!Whinin' and complainin' is just somethin' that ALL humans do. I don't care what job you do!

Amen to that. Truckers are highly scrutinized, and given too little credit for keeping America's commerce moving. Keep the wind at your back, and your sails full..

"Earliet you said "Face it, for some, complaining is just their nature. But by God, give me a violin, some WHINE and some cheese to enjoy, whilst I suffer along through most of the posts on this website.
I'm a 53 year old male, and am considering trucking as an adventurous change of pace. Seems however that now I'm not sure that I would like to share the highways and byways with so many discontent, unhappy, whiny, regretful, angry, lazy, and nincompoop truckers as a lot of you seem. Where's the gusto, excitement, and motivation of today's road cowboys?
C'mon, somebody MUST be enthusiastic about there trucking job! I'd like to hear from some of YOU that keep America moving and and actually ENJOY IT!"

    Make up ytour mind.

TD, let it ride, pal. Don't take offense. You both are entitled to your opinion. He and I came to an understanding. I respect his opinion and he respects mine. Consider that, as well. You're still in training. Don't get worked up. Stay calm, and don't let anything affect what you're trying to do. Just looking out for you, driver.

Some things you can't change, so there's not much need to worry about them. (easy for me to say) Others, you have to roll with the punches. There will be a feeling in your gut as to what to do. Go with it. Try not to worry about tomorrow, as what will be, will be. You do your best, that's all you can do. Many times your best is not enough. Sometimes your best is better than anyone else, but you still get pooped on. You either have to keep going, or move on to something else.

Being wound up and stress out will kill you before your time, and make you and everyone around you miserable.

Anyway, you're too old to be all stressed out.:biggrin_25522:
