New trucks come out of Mexico.
So I would guess they may have more in Fontana.

Yes, but that only delays the implementation until the unemployment rate drops to 5.5% for four consecutive quarters. It would be a nice reprieve but it would fall short of being substantive given the host of regs that would still apply. Plus, CARB would still be packed with environuts just waiting to jam more regs once they have the economy back in shape... Make that "if" they get California back in shape.

well on that note... CA unemployment has been 5.5% or less only 3 times since 1980... :biggrin_2559: so it somewhat delays it for a really long time. I live in this state and those environuts are ##### everything up. You cant even have a good old fashioned BBQ anymore in this state without getting fined $500 to $1000 if you are a repeat offender.

No kidding! I didn't know that... Well. Here's to hoping it passes!

I used to work for an Internet company that had its offices in San Jose. For the longest time I wouldn't apply for any jobs in the home office simply because I would have to live in California. And I don't know about you but I pretty much thought everyone I knew from there was bat-$##% crazy. I used to think I was fairly liberal until I met a bunch of people from Northern California. I don't want to turn this into a political debate but I was working for a company founded on anarcho-capitalist ideals only to watch it turned into a heavy-petting-regulation-loving company who started putting solar panels up and buying "carbon off-sets" to be more "socially responsible."

Thanks, but I'd rather drive bamboo shoots underneath my fingernails on home time.:biggrin_2559:

Not for a while I was trying to get everything I had been putting off medically done before I go to the school and loose my awsome insurance ($0 co-pay's on everything I leave everything but an id and the kiaser card at home or in the truck) So i went to the doc to have my tonsils taken out a month ago well I was put on a waiting list so last week (thursday) I had them taken out (or else I might have been put on a cpap machine because I couldn't breath when I slept) and I e-mailed Jordan today and she asked what pain meds I was on and now I have to be pushed back 30 days for taking pecocet. Even though DOT has a 24 hr turn around for it. So now I need to find a way to make ends meet for my family for another month without income.

I had a job with computers from 1996-2001 then got laid off with the dot com crash. Employers started demanding a 4 yr college degree for a $14 /hr job. :biggrin_2556:

I found out in a safety meeting that the comments they make for drivers on reports also factor in. It was mentioned in a safety meeting that one of Central's drivers had 7 points on their CSA report. The points were for speeding.

The driver had been pulled over in Oregon because the cop thought he might be speeding. Then he did an inspection. The guy passed the inspection, but there was a note somewhere, I don't know where, that said "suspected of speeding" Not speeding, or clocked speeding, the guy just thought he was, and even though there was no proof or warning, the guy still got 7 points on the CSA.
