O/o With Landstar????

do you have any experience as an o/o?


landstar is a great choice if you have a head on your shoulders and know how to run a small biz.

 

My husband was a owner op in household moving for five years. then he went as a company driver for another 10 years, then off the road did some local, and tried to get out of trucking all together, but alas jobs went under and back to driving he went, 3 years company and the last two and half years as a lease operator. He has heard the only owner op company to go with is Landstar, but he has been lied to so much by companies he has very little trust. He did well in household until the companies started to give out tooo many discounts. He was told Landstar pays well, you pick your own loads, fuel surcharge, and fuel discount, this is all he has been told. We are buying our 2009 KW900 in April. It is a fantastic good working truck, and he has taken very good care of it. Just put new tires on the drives, and through our company was able to purchase new ones with only 19,000 miles on them for $933 nice perk to say the least, but then we can not pick our own loads etc. WE hear the Landstar brokers are only paid seven percent of each load, is this true?
