Anyone see this new commercial with a Canadian traitor and a liar? It's playing over and over here in Indiana and is pure BS. I miss Canadian health care. I would love to have seen what she would have done here in the U.S if she had lost her job and obtained new insurance while at the same time being denied for this being a pre-existing condition...Or better yet...get this expensive surgery done down here without insurance at all....She'd love having those garnishments on a 7.25/hr pay..lol
She is obviously being paid by an extremist right wing fanatical elitist American group.

Aww, heck, here is the latest on my glad to have health care personal example.
June 2010, got back from 6 weeks OTR. Started having BAD chest pains and flank pain. Figured it was another kidney stone. Waited a few days, didn't change like a stone would. Went to the ER, OMG that place all americans think we wait for 12 hours no matter what. Walked in, talked to the triage nurse, she took me direct to an Acute Care bed, had nurses start an IV, hook up monitors, and run several ECG's. Doctor was in within 5 minutes, had loads of blood drawn. Found that the ECG showed an impartial right blockage and enlarged left side heart. Blood showed D-dimer scores that kept going UP. Bad news. Now starts the IV morphine and direct subQ heparin shots. Basically I had a blood clot, that is the easy description, look up Pulmonary Embolis with Pleural Rub for the long one.
I spent 11 days in the hospital, no additional insurance since the lease op I was driving for canceled it once i was admitted. I had multiple injections and doses of 3 different pain meds every 4 hours. Oh yeah, I had them hook up the phone for me (more on that later).
Had two different transports to another city for a VQ scan as I am deathly allergic to CT scan IV dye. I had 2 CT scans without contrast, and 4 sets of X-rays. Saw specialists. What you say? I didn't have to wait for a year to get a specialist to see me? That is correct. I was released but was back in the ER again within a month for Pericarditis and Pneumonia. More meds and scans, another transport for a VQ scan, and 7 days in the hospital ICU ward, with phone.
Released and was back in the ER after about 6 weeks as the Pericarditis had flared up. More meds, scans, IV's. No long stay though. Each time I was taken directly to an Acute Care ER bed and looked after within minutes.
Now here is the real kicker. Did I get a bill in the mail? Sure did, for $10.50. That's right, ten dollars and fifty cents for the in room phone use. No mention of scans, IV's, meds, medical transport, other care. Friends of ours in Ohio and Michigan heard about all of this and told us about what it would have cost us for me to be alive. It would have easily bankrupted us. To think, we own our house, 3 vehicles, boat, snowmobile, 2 motorcycles and 32' travel trailer, all paid for. Liquidating EVERYTHING still would have left us bankrupt. All so I could live.
I'll keep my Health Care. Oh, and this is only the latest. I have had several surgeries and ambulance rides. Only cost of any of them was the $45 for each ambulance trip. But, to each their own.
john10204 and bobcaygeonjohn Thank this. -
John10204, that video was so full of bull pucky it isn't funny. It is full of lies on BOTH sides of the border. Sadly, the US is not truly looking at getting Canadian Health care, it is some form of bastardized money hungry load of garbage they are trying to force on you. At the same time telling you lies about our Health Care and instilling fear.
I pray you all vote those idiots out and get someone who can really do something good for your Country. I doubt you could ever truly implement proper government Health Care modeled after Canada, Britain, France, etc. It would be too much of a change and the Corporations (Hospitals, HMO's, etc.) would NOT allow it. I do not know what the solution for the US is, but, what Osama (oops, I mean Obama
) is trying to shove down your throats is no where near the solution.
Keep your chins up and use your RIGHT to vote.

Luckily, there is no mention of health care in our Bill of Rights. Or the Constitution, for that matter. If and when we invent a time machine that allows us to change the handwritting on these original documents, we'll also time machine back and make Canada the 14th Colony, and yous guys will be residents of the 54th state.
-
You mean we aren't the 51's State already? Inconceivable! LOL
-
Didn't you guys try that once already, how did that work out for you?end of the road Thanks this. -
bet they didnt find any wmd's either
-
do ya think he really thought there would be any? as a conservitive, the hunt for wmd's set us back 30 years. thanks goerge.
