On your MVR it states when you were issued a CDL however most insurance companies look at the past three years for tickets / accidents....if you have loss runs that are clean it helps a lot in getting a more favorable rate. Northland just had an increase if you do not have two years of clean loss runs. If you have a more specific question just ask.

Depends on the agent and the underwriter. Many underwriters will want to see your IFTA reports for 4 consecutive quarters, to get a handle on how many miles you drive and which states you primarily travel through.
The only company I'm aware of that will insure you with no IFTA history is Progressive, and they limit you to a 500 mile radius until you get a couple of years under your belt. -
thanks for the info...i was never an o/o and the o/o i did work for has shut down his companie. how would it be possible to get the IFTA history or would i even need it as more or less a company driver at the time i drove for him?
sorry for all the questions
thansk again...mike
