I was leased to them for 6 1/2 years then run off 2 years ago last june.

I knew some of the Co. drivers and most of them seemed happy and had been with the Co. for quite a few years. Their equipment is on the good side of average, not the best, but they are kept up and will pass inspections.

They got busted on log violations from what I heard. I do know that they are very strict with them now and from what I was told they will fire a driver for not complying.

They've been around for over 20 years I think?

If you have any more questions I'll try to answer them for you.

    Tralfaz Thanks this.

ok, first off thanks to everyone that has posted so far. I am going to give them a try I will start on Nov. 8th. I have to get my foot in the door somewhere. I have been looking around and from what I see it can be hard to find a job when you are in my shoes...but anyways...

some of the questions I have are do they realy get you home every 2 weeks? Do they have a lot of frieght to move? how does the perventage pay compare to miles pay? Is there mostly a pick up close to the drop off?

Also with me being new to trucking, I understand that their satey rating is low but how would that effect a safe driver? I guess what I am trying to say is I understand that they have some drivers that either do care or just cant drive very well but if I am a safe driver how would that hurt me? Someone else said it would mean that DOT would mess with more is this true? would I get called into the scales more often? what else?

    Thanks for any help

Problem with this is the fact that you are sitting in the past. That company is running a much tighter ship these days.

I know I wouldn't classify a log book violation as a major safety issue. I know when I'm loading coils beside a POS truck, his log book status is the least of my concerns.

    BrianM and Tralfaz Thank this.

SAFESTAT score still shows 91. Might be from the past but until that score drops below 75, DOT will be taking a close look at EVERY PGT driver that crosses a scale. Hopefully for thier(the drivers) sake, they have cracked down on the violations.

Until the score drops below75, be prepared to be red lighted at the scales. Just have all your ducks in order and you should be fine.

Round here PGT is not looked at very favorably. Mostly has to do with them being tied to PLS. If PLS went out of business tomorrow would not be soon enough for me!!
