Jonestown PA Terminal

as far as the swift terminals go, ya that one is a turd. as far as the mentor go's keep your fingers crossed. swift may get you back for the holiday if he or she has a family then that person may want to be home for the holiday. so you will have to work that out with them. good luck.

 

in the trucking business you may get xmas off then back to work the next day, if you have family you should have waited till next year, me i'm waiting till spring, winter will be over and the days will be longer, in winter when it gets dark at 4 in the afternoon you really don't want to work if you now what i mean, good luck, remember in this field there are no weekends or holidays, think military, you work everyday, the first 6 months will be hard then your'l be ok

 

I disagree with Pete the Roofer. I like the Jonestown terminal. But, I noticed that Pete is from NV and I haven't seen any of the western terminals. So, if Jonestown is a turd I've got a lot to look forward to when I do get west.

 

I like Jonestown. If/when you go to Mira Loma then you will see a dump. The dock workers use the head in the lounge and none know how to aim. Granted Mira Loma is mainly a drop yard/repair and Fontana is the actual terminal. Now that one is decent. just very little parking.

 

they finished the fontana term. this past summer very nice, my terminal has a casino right next door so you'll love it or hate it that depends on how much you win I guess.

 

jonestown terminal is a little small but it's okay. the mechanics or should I say parts changers suck. I think it only has 1 decent mechanic. if I have to get work done I go to martinsburg terminal. but the dispatchers everbody inside the terminal are okay. but the planners tend to tick me off from time to time. there s o p give you short load to new jersey. then they say will back you up with better load. and in the next load is only 250 300 miles , and delivers the next day.
