I drove for Roehl a few years back, and found them to be an OK company. One thing to keep in mind,is that there is no perfect company out there.During my time with them I had a couple of darn good dispatchers and an excellent fleet mgr.I am now retired and thru the years drove for good and also some bad companies. The worst one being Swift. I owned my own truck for a few years and had it leased to the old MS Carriers out of Memphis,TN.They were a good company.I think if you hire on with Roehl and have a good attitude, you will do just fine.Just remember that driving a truck is a job,no more,no less.

I drove for them in 2006-2008 as a company driver. I now am an O/O and am looking to go back to them. Why? Stable company with a good safety record. Drivers need to align themselves with good companies with this CSA 2010 hitting. Roehl has their pros and cons. You just need to figure out if you can drive under their program. They are anal on safety and following safe driving habits. I have 2 friends that are still with Roehl. One company and the other a lease O/O. Both are getting good dependable miles week in and week out.

In answer to your question why I don't find something a little closer to home is Ihave very little expeirence and had my son for my trainer. Long of the short is I need a new start over and was considering them. They all want you to go back to school with some out of sight fee for a refresher course. And right now their is a few place I can go to for that .

If you have to get a refresher, TDI in Milton, FL and Oxford, AL has a 254hr class for 300 bucks. http://www.drivebigtrucks.com/

Wiley is actually a good company. Pay is in the middle .32cpm tops out at .37 at 6 years.
