I'm thinking of signing on with Quality Carriers out of their Magnolia, AR. terminal. I have read the existing posts on here already, and would like more info if anyone has anything to add. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about that terminal, but be aware that most are franchises and can be very different from what you may find out about the company in general. The insurance will probably be less than the corp. kind and may not cover much or be real expensive. The equipment may be real bad or ok. it just depends on who owns it and how they choose to act.
Be very careful AND ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS IN PERSON. Don't trust the corp. recruiter, go see the people you will work for. Ask about unpaid time I had about 30% of my time unpaid.

Very true ... I will add that its best to go and meet these folks face to face and see the facility first hand along with the equipment.. Some affiliates may do the min needed to meet a affiliation with quality ...

My terminal is great... owned by a group of farmers and they keep things up pretty well terminal 725 memphis

Well I can see tht no one has wrote anything about quality affiliates in Marrow, Ga. Stay away! This company is the worst in tanker business.

Yes I can. I was there for a recent three months. I did a lease purchase. It started out bad. Terminals I did work for didn't bill customer once I turn in my paper work. My money was late the first three weeks I worked there. Once I told my terminal manager I was not taking this crap, things changed for a bit. Then it got really bad. One good week, then a very poor week. I would make runs to Wisconsin. And sit for a day and a half for a load. Sitting tht long with nothing to do. No terminal had work. Then I was told to get extra money on the deadhead. I had to wait for approval. Oh, and it's not because I was a lease purchase either. I have friends in my class tht went company. And they was getting one load a week. Week ends on Friday at 12:00. So they would get a load for Tuesday heading to where ever. And have a load on Friday. It's just a place to stay away from. And if your already there. Then find u something quick. James is a good dispatcher. But mark is not a good terminal manager. They still owe me money for tolls which he said he would pay back. They are crooks. Like I say dispatch tries to be fair. But terminal manager is a joke. Stay away trust me. You don't wanta have the second quarter of this trucking industry wasted on this company two thumps down.

Been a lease operator for 9 months now and I'm having second thoughts about this. I run for 825 in Sulphur, LA, same affiliate as the Morrow, GA terminal (Gulf Coast Express). The staff is good here. Recently the loads have been on the cheap side. I was doing about $1.25 mile, now it's less than a buck. Very hard to manage at that rate. Looking at a couple of companies now: Miller Transport and Altom. I'm also not sure if my expectations are too high. Some drivers do really well, some don't, haven't figured it out yet. I got laid of from Halliburton last year and don't have much trucking experience yet. Hope this helps, feel free to ask me questions. I'll answer as fast as I can-I am working...
