Hello my name is Danny I need some help with this code...

I've been driving to a rest area doing barely 40 just so I can take a look under the hood and possibly fix it here.

Check engine light comes on at higher rpms...it feels like fuel cut off.

    Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks for the reply, I am sorry but it just says 6...wish I could help you help me ;) .

It starts ok...at idle there are no fault codes or check engine light, as soon as I rev it a number '6' appears with the CE light...

I will take it to someone at the dealer after 6 to have the code read.

Thanks again for the reply :)

look at the cyl. head, if fuel pressure is too low cyl #6 if first that gets not enought fuel.

what to advice? can you find fuel pressure port on pump/filtering unit? get a gauge with hose and put it under wiper and try to drive. If fuel pressure drops you will see, if not - this is the other story..

    Dannyell Thanks this.

had it hooked up to computer...

Low power to harness...which messes up all the injectors...as soon as I rev it white smoke comes up...so its not burning right...

Broken or faulty wire or probably causing a short somewhere...

it is usual thing for cat engines. bad wire from starter bat + terminal to ECM.... ore corroded contact. up the hood and inspect starter wiring.

    Well it's the ECM itself...

I replaced the wire harness and the pedal sensor...same code appears....

You replaced everything in between the pedal and the ECM? Make sure that your new parts aren't bad too, just because something's new doesn't mean it works, especially electrical parts.

CAT ECMs faults are rare. inspect connectors, wiring harhess on engine, sometimes faulty wires are under the valve cover (!), check ECM power supply! rewire from starter to ecm power supply connector.

CAT ECM is VERY HARD TO DISASSEMBLY. internal damages happen, but rare. To rebuild CAT ECM is very difficult... I did...
