Scania, Volvo, Mercedes vs American trucks. How can you stand them?

I think I know what you mean about people turning in to jerks and hating each other for stupid reasons. Just a short while ago someone was having a go at someone els saying they had poor expertise and were inexperienced.I think this was a knee jerk reaction because they were not familiar with most of this persons knowledgeable posts. Either this or they them selfs are showing their ignorance/arrogance. I think you know who I am talking about.

 

Come on, he is serving advices about trucks he never seen in person. Please, you all sound like those eastern Europe drivers who buy Volvo and all they know about it is where to mount Michelin MAn and how to turn on fog lights.

There is more to trucking than that, the sooner you realize that, the better

I'm not so sure about that.I have seen quite a few of his posts in other threads with very specific technical info.In one post he made a passing comment about clutch actuators that has gone a long way to explaining a problem the OE manufacturers could not solve. I operate both EU and US class 8 trucks and his comments seem spot on.As I have stated before people are very defensive when it comes to their trucks.It seems to be a sort of national pride thing.If you read some of his other posts you will see he has chosen to run a US truck when he becomes a O/O.You may be correct in your generalization but in this case I don't think so.
