What can you do if you've taken the air brake adjustment course?

An automatic slack will not adjust properly without brake a few applications of 60psi or more so it is possible for them to go out of adjustment. I adjust my autos mainly because running dirt roads makes them useless at auto adjusting and I like to be sure on my brakes because it isn't very often that I am not hooked up to 8 axles and less than 64000 kgs.

    Not a very

good pic but I think this is the 2004 with the Knight 8 axle which was the very first load it ever had on it. It went up to the Yukon.

Good to see you understand the rules and how to apply them.

FMCSA IS AMERICAN. We live in Cananda and our law is 1996, Under reciprocity the United states accepts that our 1996 law will be accepted for Canadian carriers operating in the US. Most likely though no carrier would send a trailer across the border with manual slack adjusters, but if they wanted to they could,as long as it was made before 96 and plated in Canada.
It's the same as how the United States accepts that companies issue hazmat cards in Canada yet in the USA the hazmat ticket is an endoresement not issued by companies but rather the government.

    Reciprocity.

You never made that clear in your earlier post.

Quit being so sensitive. It'll lead to you having hypertension, and an early grave.

Auto slacks and ABS are just part of the dumbing down of the driver pool,
You are still responsible for making sure that you brakes are within acceptable limits and as even as possible. Way too many drivers don't even look at brake travel because the unit has auto slacks. :biggrin_25521:
