ROFLMFAO!!! Oh give up there BUD you're too easy! Now before you shove that foot so far down your throat to where you can kick your self in the arse the "Rollover" handle wasn't from a rollover like say Pop a Top. I got run over by a T600 while checking the brakes. Before you get you rookie butt in a sling ask before opening the blowhole under the nose!

Again, you're getting to be too easy! You have been slapped down by another IR driver with 1 year more experience than you and put in the corner by some with more experience than you'll ever see in your life time as your whiney arsed crybaby posts are stuff they use on the comedy channel!

Give up now and go back to BK as you'll never make it as a driver with these "problems" you put up. Really
Running out of fuel: your fault
    Damage a truck: your fault
No A/C for 2 weeks: We can give you that one. I don't like sweating my butt off either.
Waiting is the name of the game in trucking and half the time you aren't going to get paid for it. That we can give you except for the 2 or 3 hour ones. That's normal.
Except for the fuel and A/C you say none of the other stuff happened to you? WTH is the problem then? If you knew they made you pay for a screwup why did the door not hit you in the arse as you left? Instead you decided to stay? eeerrrr, your fault!

And from that last post of yours do you really think a company is going to put a high dollar CD or anything else like a radio in a truck for some smoker to ruin a moron or tear up? (cigrette smoke coats the laser head and screws up the way it reads!)

So what if a load gets refused. You aren't paying for it and you have to "DRIVE" extra miles for pay to dump it? Whats the problem there? That's as stupid as a moron that has a load refused getting all upset because he has to return the load to the shipper! A mile is a mile drive it!

How many heavy loads do you see hauling arse up a hill? Most truck do that 30mph up hills! Unless there is a very large engine and it's not cut back yep you'll be doing that creep up a hill if you do manage to survive much longer in trucking! If that is a problem buy your own with the biggest engine made and turn the thing all the way up and go fly up hills with a heavy load. That simple! Oh and with your own high end music system!

EGR? Whats the problem? You apparently aren't keeping up with the industry news and regulations or the EPA crapola! It's mandatory now. Live with it. It's NOT IR oe any trucking companies fault! If you're going to "blame" anyone blame that communistic state called California as they are the ones who started that ball rolling along with a few other PIOA out here!

As for the key deal...what if they all had different keys? Guess what? There will be copies made of every key in the fleet! I always make 2. 1 to hang in the engine compartment for when I have a blond moment and leave the other one on my key ring in the ash tray and lock my silly arse out. Usually 2 or 3 come with the truck not to mention a master key. And trucks are extremely easy to get into with that coat hanger they'll use to steal that AM/FM/CD player. At least IR put one in to get stolen. You want more security then go to the trucks manufacturer and get 2 key cylinders and replace the stock ones just be sure to leave a key with the shop and put that high dollar AM/FM/CD/GPS/DVD player in also to get stolen by that idiot with the coat hanger! Oh don't forget that Ranger CB also!

Ok lets get straight to the point.

He doesn't like the company and that's his opinion.

Right now I have three friends working for that company and I will be working there once my knee is cleared by the doctor.

There are some facts you seems to be leaving out, first they have more then one shop what about Tulare, CA they have a whole terminal there with a full shop.

Then you have this whole thing about ONLY using Pilot truck stops, they issue you a COMDATA card that can be used anywhere. Now they can have it turned off to work at Pilot truck stop only, but that's a easy fix; call dispatch and have them open the card for a out of network fuel. We do it here all the time. There is a reason why they only use Pilot in the first place too so let not forget that, they are cheap and everywhere plus for the company saying they are going to use Pilot primarily they get a few cents knocked off the price. We have the same deal here at Meyer Trucking.

Equipment can get damaged so very easily and no they can not make you pay for it. This is where you need to read if they tell you to sign here for payment of damaged equipment read it, they are selling you down the river........LoL like that one don't you. But by far you should be paying I think all company should try and make the drivers pay, It makes since you damage it; you pay to have it fixed.

Drivers can make good time and pull anywhere from 650 to 750 miles legally in a day, and that governed at 68 MPH. They clock in at 75 MPH I see no reason you shouldn't make 800 daily??????

Then again I'm still fresh and believe in a hard days work, heck if they pay me to do it I'll empty the trailer with a 8 oz cup. You can never get anywhere without a drive to succeed. I don't care if your cleaning up dog crap for a living be the best dog crap picker upper that ever was and you'll go far.

This is not a bash ageist you its just that you left out some much need facts about this GOOD company.

Have at it and I don't want to see a one liner reply!!

I'm not buying this whopper at all. Just because your truck CAN run 75 mph doesn't mean you are going to average 75 mph over the course of a day. To drive 800 miles in 11 hours means you have to maintain a constant 72 mph throughout the course of an 11 hour day. You might be able to pull that off in the Australian Outback, or across an African desert highway, but you ain't going to do it on an American freeway. Hell, I've logged 5 hours driving the 80 miles from the Wisconsin line to Gary, In on I 294. It doesn't matter how fast your truck runs, you are going to average between 55-60 mph on any given day, if you are lucky enough not to hit any major back-ups. You trip plan like my dispatcher!

The industry is filling up with the 8am to 3:30pm drivers, mostly sitting around truckstops crying that they can't get dispatched because the world hates truckdriver, and there dispatcher is unfair because he expected 2 1/2 days coast to coast, and its been 2 1/2 days and they have not gotten past St.Louie because they need there beauty rest.

ANd it took them 3 hours crusing the lot to find a pull thru and now there out of hours again.

And you have less than 7 WHOLE months experience ? And your a "cheerleader"...That was the old Jim Aartmann yard in Tulare. Let's see how that "drive to succeed" works out for you in a few years after you have some experience in this business sans Vaseline..Another Kool Aid drinker..

I know for a fact that Indian River charges their drivers for EVERYTHING. My old man had been trying to get the shop "manager" to fix the brakes on his truck, to no avail, and then got paired up with a trailer that had NO brakes. You know who paid for the damages when the truck with loaded trailer decided to roll backwards into a creek? That's right, my husband did, at $50 a week until the whole $1500 bill is paid. At least two other drivers had complained about that trailer, and since saving money is the issue and not safety, it had never been fixed. And the supposed one day off for every week out is just another ploy to get you to work for them. It goes on and on....sorry company to work for, in my opinion, all the money goes in the owner's pockets, none to the drivers.

No brakes on trailer and he turned the key to start the engine out the transmission in a gear pushed the brake knobs in and put this trailer on the road?

Who is responsiable for the PTI and reporting of the equipment?

Did he fill out his daily inspection reports and turn them in?

These will support his law suit against the company!

There is a small word in the english language spelled:

    NO

Which I would have been saying very frequently and to their face if in the yard!
I would have been sending this word to them on the QC or whatever they use,
on an email to every company office they had,
by cell phone WITH RECORD pushed and by carrier pigeon if I had to BUT, there is no way that truck with ME behind the wheel would have moved anywhere except into the shop or nearest parking lot for road service to show up!
OR DOT would have been contacted for a nice inspection!

IDC how many years he drove as he's the boss when behind the wheel!
He drove that POS somewhere and it wound up in a creek?

Sorry, but go ahead and pay the bill as he really needs that POS job!

Sounds like Burger King would have paid better for those 30 pay checks!

The days home...ok that I know is a PITA to get some BFI's to do!

That seems like that would have been an easy decision. Tell them in writing to fix equipment on dot work order and not drive till fixed. Its not rocket science folks. If he chose to ignore the problem then he got what he had coming. Its this simple, one you write it up & demand it be fixed b4 going anywhere with it & if they refuse then tell them here's your keys. If they retaliate against you & you have all written documentation all problems in writing, then you can take legal action.

Maybe he's paying for the repair because he forgot to set the trailer brake?

    Just sayin'.
