..just picked it up Thursday and it's back at KW today.

    1. New HVAC box/parts + EVAP core (I now have heat)
    2. New neoprene heater hoses (42' of them)
    3. New front Gabriel GasSLX shocks (big improvement)
    4. New front Centramatic wheel balancers (big improvement)
    5. New air compressor coolant hoses
    6. New thermostats
    7. New front rock/bug screen behind the grill

..it made sense to do some of these since the coolant was removed anyway.

It's back at KW, since they left it greasy inside/outside and some big fat tech broke the new air seat adjustment switch, so the seat simply won't hold air now. Its a bad spot for these cheapy plastic switches but if your 400+ lbs, its certain death for them sooner or later.

They also installed the rock screen CROOKED and not square. Maybe that's being fussy, but if you guys knew the dollar amount I just spent there, you would be pi$$ed too.
Found 2 heater line loom clamps not tight at all - one was missing the nut. Bits of broken plastic all over the floor of the cab and grease all over the front mud flaps.

..I am used to double checking people's work but this was too much this time.

sometimes its hard to find a good spot to get your truck worked on---either they are being paid piece work or are being pushed by manadgement to get it in and out --so then you get a half assed job
and at that price i would expect a professional job--but some techs just dont care
some times if you find a small shop--they might be a bit slower but often cheaper--and usually they care a bit more

JD, I really hurt for you when I read stuff like that-paying over $100 per hour and getting a dirty truck back. Surely, surely, there has got to be someone better in a town that size. I've had decent luck on the road calling road service people I find on NTTS and asking if they have a shop.

Have you tried these guys? Might be one-stop shopping for you, they also do lettering.

I have never heard of them!! Wow...Up on Brown Deer, north of Milwaukee... I will call them Monday and see what they have to say....KW is really close to my house (3miles) which is easier to get a ride to/from though and that sadly has to factor in. Truck Country is across the street. They did my fwd rear axle brakes and did a perfect job. I got to the rig and there was plastic on the seats and steering wheel. That was impressive. 1st shift mgmt is a bunch of wahoos but 2nd shift guys are actually decent. TC though, is mainly a Freighliner dealer vs a Pete/KW dealer, so if they have to buy parts, they told me they get them from KW and typically deal with markups, which I am sure will be passed on to me.

As far as lettering, "Stretch" got back to me and asked me if I could wait until after Thanksgiving. Yea, I waited this long. In the meantime I contacted CP Vehicles and waiting to hear back.

They did this converted tour bus (now a mobile dog groomer) and have shadows of dogs in the windows. Makes it look like dogs are in the seats as she drives by...
