Got a couple questions about W/S
1. Do they allow passengers, and if so what are the requirements.
2. I read on another thread they allow pets, but there was only 1 post and nobody confirmed it.
3. do they require any endorsments
4. what kind of work do they do out of Myrtle, MS.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but can't right now.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

I'd call them and ask them before I accepted an anonymous internet reply as gospel.
If your looking for the truth a recruiter is not always the best source either.......
I recommend studying and pass the tests for any endorsement you might need. I got air brakes, doubles & tripples, tanker, and hazmat to be certain my license did not limit my ability to find work.
If I had a bus available to take those tests I would have done that too.
I also obtained a TWIC card so I would not be barred from any of the 9-11 panic facilities, ports, airport, train yard, etc.
This shows an employer that you are serious about your chosen profession and not just trying to get by. -
Do they allow Pets
-
Yes they allow passengers After your first 90 days, If I remember correctly it can be anyone as long as there over 12.
Yes they do allow pets I've seen everything from Big pit pulls to little taco bell dogs and cats in our trucks. I'm pretty sure theres a pet fee not sure how much or if there are any limits as to what kind of pet you can have.
No they do not require any endorsements, BUT it is in your best interest to get every endorsement anyway, you wouldn't want to miss out on a great job for something like that....!
Ummmm I've only been to myrtle, MS once but I hauled furniture out of there, I'm pretty sure thats what they do there just like conover, NC.
If you have any more questions, I'm sure myself or any of the other W/S drivers will be able to help!

I figured that it was furniture, but wanted to ask. i grew up around that area, and had some relatives that worked at a furniture factory right next door. lot of those plants have closed though. been thinking about moving back down that way, maybe this summer. -
They allow pets but you have to wait 90 days just like for passengers. Would also like to know how much the deposit is as well.
-
IIRC deposit was either 250 or 500, its a cleaning fee that you get back as long as the truck isnt destroyed from the animal. Some people just dont care, I have a friend who got his truck and it had a bird in there when he got it... WTFwulfman75 Thanks this.

Hope this helps, and to the guy saying dont trust us or recruiters, We are drivers who have gotten all the training and all the info just as he wants, why not try to listen.
Also I will say flat out our recruiters dont lie, they arent there to sell you, hell if anything is fishy with you, they dont want you. They wont waste your time to get you there if you dont qualify they tell you straight up. They give you the run down of the company then its up to you, they are more of a information rep than a recruiter.wulfman75 and truckerdaddy24 Thank this. -
Agree with everything Des1 said. Only 1 addition.... the pet deposit is $500, and you get it back if the truck is clean when you move out of it into another one, or to another job somewhere....
wulfman75 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info Des and Warp.
