I'm leased directly to A small produce broker. Ihave all the advantages of being independant and none of the paperwork headaches. I call when I want a load, if I don't like it I say no. My rates are better then most since there is one less middle man with them being a broker

I am leased on to RoadRunner Trans. Service out of Wi.
I have only been with them for 3 wks now so I am reserved on my judgement. But I can say this, They have kept me quite busy(other than being sht down 2x already because of mother nature!
)
I am just learning the ropes and as with any company, there is a down side-
this compapny is LTL and man, there is a little bit of sitting, and if your not on the ball here you could be sitting up to 4 days at one of the 17 terminals-the dallas texas terminal is a ###### HOLE! I sat for a day and a half(34) but a friend of mine was there for 4 days!
We can use the load board, with the Co. getting 4% of the 1st 2 broker loads, the 3rd they take 8% and it gets higher after that, but if you go back o a RR terminal and haul their freight, then yu can go back to broker loads to make some money.

I'm leased to a friend of mines company, He has 9 trucks of his own and 3 leasers including me.
He takes 12% of the gross for dispatch, tax filing and billing and I pretty much do as I please!
I have the benifit of being totally independent without the paperwork hassle of running under my own authority.
If I ever am not with him, I'll be at Mercer. -
So far we are running under our own authority right now have 2 reg customers that keeps both trucks busy . get a check from both of them each week guess that you would say 1 week in the hole as we will bill what we did this week and get it next week.

I'm leased to a commercial farm operation and I haul potatoes out of WI, IL, IN, MI, MO, etc depending on the time of year. I also haul green bean, carrots, etc. from the field to the processor.
I pay all of my own license and insurance including liability and cargo... I receive 98% of the revenue on our own products and 92% if I haul for a broker or another grower.... I also get any fsc that's paid on the loads. -
I am Leased to Krazy K in the great state of KANSAS. LOL

Rodrunner is a big customer of ours for return loads out west. I haul out of cudahy alot. And judging by the conditin of the RR trucks I see I wouldn't expect too much.
SLC is another crappy one. the guy who runs the dock is a prick. Last week I had to get roadrunner corprate involved to get my truck unloaded or I was going to miss my final in Boise and they were closed for the weekend. the slc guy flat out told me he didn't care if I had another stop. I was on time but was being told he wasn't going to unload me for at least another 14hr -
I'm leased to myself

Sometimes my boss can be a real p***k
cherokee96red and BigBadBill Thank this. -
Mercer - What can I say, no one's perfect?! (But will be fixing that in a ziffy!)
