Sucks that it turned out that way, but I'm glad you quit. I personally will NEVER work for another company that will not allow me to run legal and who will punish me for doing so. No way. Boycott working for these fly by night operations and they will either wither on the vine, or start complying.

    Uhhhhh..... no they dont. :biggrin_25525:

I saw BEAM Bros trucks regularly when I was working for Crosby over in Weyers Cave. They ran up and down 81 all day long. I've seen some of the junk they drive. Almost as bad as the Crosby vulvas.

Hey man, I tried telling ya, remember?

Don't feel bad...it's just the way it works in that biz.
Luckily, I work for a good contractor...decent equipment and they don't push us to run hot.
In fact, they make us take a 1/2 hour lunch and they get on us if we don't take it.
It's all recorded in the electronic logs.

Don't know why in the hell they made you work 7 days a week?!?!
They should have run you 6 days and have a part-time driver run the 7th day.
That's the way we work it....I cover for the primary driver since he burns his hours up.
Sounds like a real low-life outfit there....good thing you got away.

    Yes! That is it.

They pay ONLY what the route pays.If it takes 2 hours longer or you end up having to layover NO extra pay.No detention pay,no stop pay and no hotel even if you are stuck somewhere for 2 days.

Some of the trucks look clean on the outside but believe me they are worn out.

If it was a 5 day deal or maybe even 6 days and they assigned a truck that could be cleaned up i may have stuck it out....:biggrin_25513:

    Paddington hit it dead on!....
