    Never do a U-turn!! A V-turn is okay. As is a half-of-an-O-turn. Possibly a half-of-an-S-on-its-side-turn. But not a U-turn! C'mon numnut!

I know PeopleNet receives via satellite in the truck and transmits via cell towers. It gives a location read out every 15 minutes with the key on. Dispatch can see it on a map screen but it's not instant.

I'm not sure how the trailer tracking works but it takes a pretty good size dish to communicate back and forth with a satellite. It probably triangulates cell towers with a small transmitter. I don't think you have to worry about little green men see you do a UTurn! Not yet at least.

Last summer 3 of us were following a 4th trucker trying to get around that I-94 detour in Milwaukee. Lead got lost and we all followed like lemmings. He said he knew what he was doing. He pulled in a bank parking lot and did a U-ey. We each followed. Kinda funny 4 trucks doing a U-ey in a small parking lot.

    U-turn = U-fired

Especially when pulling across multiple lanes...own up to it and start filling out the apps. You'll find somebody.

Any company has it's pros and cons. Every situation is what you make of it.

If you go into Swift with the attitude you have had here, I expect to see you back very soon.

Be positive, and positive will you see. (my quote...;))

Great news !!! They aren't the best but none of them are. Good luck and don't make any u turns while in training. It will probably be a long tme with them. They seem to like to use training as a way to keep you as a team driver.
